She currently assists Gina Ellis, who also has the same compliance certifications. ![]() Hays started as a teller for NBC 14 years ago, has held each of the customer service jobs including as senior customer service representative and has served as tellers operations officer before moving into compliance at 2019. She said she has a much better understanding of how to research the right answers to people’s questions about what’s possible at NBC. Between state and federal laws and different agencies that oversee banking operations, those laws are extensive and complicated. Hays said the job of the compliance team is to make sure the bank isn’t breaking any laws or regulations that would jeopardize the institution or hurt customers. Hays achieved her certification from the American Bankers Association it is the recognized standard of excellence for bank compliance professionals and requires hours of study, years of compliance experience and passing a rigorous exam. Her degree from Southern Nazarene University is in nonprofit work (urban studies/ministry) she has learned banking from the ground up. Woidke started as a teller at NBC and worked her way through customer service before taking on the responsibility of leading it. In her class were people from all over the country, and they were able to share real-world scenarios that they have experienced at their own financial institutions, whether related to fraud, resolution of duplicate charges or something else. She is the go-to person for any customers having complicated issues. ![]() She also knows more about regulations and the time frames involved in these payments as well as how to help customers who are having problems with their own ACH payments. Woidke said she came out of it with a better understanding of how the money that originates as an ACH payment passes through different institutions to get to the recipients. Woidke, who is NBC’s customer service supervisor and works at our OKC Penn location, went through EPCOR’s rigorous preparation course, many hours of study and an extensive test to become our go-to expert in the complicated world of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. ![]() Hays is now a certified regulatory compliance manager. Woidke can now add accredited ACH professional (AAP) to her title.
